Thriller Project (Part 2) | Planning (Section 1) | Plot

Plot

The plot for my thriller changed dramatically over the course of my planning due to changes in my group. The final plot was based of an idea that I had while doing my research. The story line is based within a house while everyone is asleep. It has a dramatic build up as the audience only get brief glimpses of the murderer that is in the house. There is a dead body and the murderer is holding a knife which shows that he is the person that killed him.

The scene will start with a pan shot of a kitchen with creepy music in the background. While panning across the kitchen there is a person's face in the rood window. The camera will pan back and up to the window and the face will disappear. The scene then changes to a close up of a fish tank as the titles are played on top of the image. The scene will the change to a close up of some flowers with more titles. It will then alternate slowly back to the fish tank and then to the flowers once again. This is all to set the scene and also helps to create tension. After this sequence of shots the scene will change to a clip of the killer walking in the darkness outside with his shadow going across the floor. The shadow is meant to be the main focus of the clip to keep the anonymity of the character. This clip is will only be short and it will be followed by another short clip of a pan on a doorway and then it will swap to a different scene of the murderer within the house. He will walk around ominously to try and get the viewer to become even more intrigued. The scene will then change to a hand with blood underneath it to show that a person has been murdered. The scene then changes to another hand that is covered in blood that is next to a ringing phone. This is to show that someone has been murdered. The title of the film will then show on a black background while growing bigger and then there will be a final shot of the murderer standing in the doorway with his front silhouetted out so you can't see him.
